We are currently looking for an EH&S Specialist for approximately 2-3 months to cover a leave, with the potential for longer. Please see below job description.
Summary:
Provides EH&S guidance and advice to leadership and employees supporting the Business Safety Strategy and Plan at site level.
Responsibilities:
- Implements the business safety strategy and safety plan.
- Enforces policies and procedures, completes job hazard analysis and risk assessments, provides training, investigates accidents, incidents, and near misses, ensures legal compliance, conducts safety inspections and corrective action plans, and promotes a culture of safety in the workplace.
- Liaisons with assigned site leadership to provide EH&S guidance.
- Stays current with UM policies and government regulations.
Education/Experiences:
- Typically, a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 3+ years of related experience in risk and hazard identification and analysis as well as audits, safety inspections, and accident investigation.
- Experience in implementing
- ISO14001 and ISO 45001 certification preferred.
