For the test engineering, we’d like someone with an engineering degree
We test on new and existing outdoor products. DAQ (Data Acquisition) tools are primarily what we use to take temperatures of these products, but we also use force gages, angle gages, and other tools to do durability tests.
The tools are pretty easy to use after testing with them. So not necessarily a requirement to know how to use them.
We also conduct environmental tests like rain and wind testing. Our job includes performing these tests and create reports on excel to share across numerous teams. In these reports, we want to understand if and how something fails. Since we are performing the tests ourselves, teams will look to us to understand the problem, so being as specific as possible in the reports is important.
Created test protocols to ensure testing is efficient and effective on various products
Contributed to hands-on testing and identified if results passed
Organized and reported results to upper management and suggested modifications to improve the product
Identified and helped implement opportunities to automate product testing
Baselined products using Data Acquisition tool and determineits lifespan through strenuous tests
Take part in the practical assembly of a new product to ensureits building efficiency for customer
