We’re seeking a manufacturing assembly technician to report directly to EVP.
1. Perform both mechanical and electrical portions of assembly of company’s materials testing machines and controllers
2. Read, interpret, and follow engineering schematics, drawings, specifications, and instructions to ensure accurate builds
3. Train on and use standard shop tools and machinery to ensure that all components and subassemblies are built correctly
4. Wire electrical panels to meet electrical schematics and integrate to mechanical components
5. Assist in the development and documentation of assembly procedures for new testing machine designs
6. Tightly follow all safety and quality policies communicated at all times
7. Prepare testing machines for shipment to customers, sometimes building wooden crates for shipment
● Degree from a vocational/technical school, or military technician experience, focused on mechanical/electrical assembly
● Ability to read, interpret, and follow build instructions, engineering drawings, and documentation
● Ability to use computer and communicate well both in person and through email, chat, text or phone
● Sufficient physical fitness to support hands-on assembly activities (e.g., lifting 50 pounds or turning a wrench)
● Ability to work with Microsoft Office and Google Business suites of applications

Follow proper assembly procedures and written instructions.
Assist in the development of assembly procedures for new machine designs.
Use hand tools to assemble electro-mechanical sub-assemblies per Engineering Drawings. Includes the assembly of mechanical components and wiring of electrical panels.
Use hand tools to integrate sub-assemblies into larger and more complex final assemblies per Engineering Drawings.
Assure Safety and Quality policies and expectations are followed and maintained at all times.
Maintain a positive attitude and be flexible moving to where priorities dictate.
Must be capable of lifting and moving heavy objects and operating common warehouse tools including pallet jacks and hand-carts.
Prepare, package, and customize shipments to clients.
Ideal candidates should possess a solid mix of both mechanical and electrical aptitude, along with a personality that allows flexibility switching between a variety of different tasks in a fast paced environment. You should have the ability to wear various hats and be versatile in daily tasks- frequently working with various teams.
