The Shipper /Receiver is responsible for all functions associated with material movement required to ship/receive products, raw materials, and other supplies from delivery trucks or production into warehouse locations. Responsible for the loading, storage, and inventory control of raw materials, purchased materials, finished goods, and a variety of manufacturing supplies or materials. Verifies quantities to ensure inventory accuracy.
Essential Duties:
Supports production requirements by filling material requisitions in a timely manner.
Performs a wide variety of standard and specialized shipping, including special documentation and custom packing, handling, and shipping procedures to comply with a wide variety of regulatory requirements.
Receives and checks incoming goods for accuracy against packing slips and prepares for internal delivery.
Records incoming material into the electronic receiving system, maintains and updates receiving files, and follows up with appropriate department regarding receipt issues.
Packages outbound finished goods, returns to suppliers/customers, marketing supplies (trade show materials), and subcontracted parts. Destinations include both domestic and international locations.
Using the electronic shipping system updates files and inventory and follows up with appropriate departments regarding shipping issues.
Must be able to operate fork trucks and other equipment to transport materials to and from loading docks, and to store and retrieve materials in warehouse.
Performance of other duties and responsibilities as required by management.

Fork truck operating license preferred.
Education and Certifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
A minimum of 4 years shipping /receiving work experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Federal Express shipping certification preferred.
Work Environment:
A manufacturing environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Various PPE devices & equipment such as gloves, safety shoes, and safety glasses may be required.
Physical Demands:
The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision, ability to distinguish color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; talk or hear. The employee is regularly required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is at times required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl; and climb or balance.
