Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented senior accountant to join our growing organization. In this position, you will assist the North America Controller in all accounting operations within the company, verify financial records and transactions, and prepare financial reports. You must have a keen attention to detail and maintain account balances, financial statements, general ledger, and all reports.

General Responsibilities:

• Manage general ledger and assist month-end/year-end close processes

• Prepare monthly account reconciliations including the bank accounts and the prepaid accounts

• Work with the Finance department and other stakeholders to review and post monthly accruals and maintain accrual account reconciliations

• Maintain the Travel Expense Reimbursement system which includes managing the onboarding of new employees into the system, ensuring that the set-up is complete and that employees understand the reimbursement process, performing periodic audits to ensure expense reports are in

compliance with company policy and reviewing reports for exception notices and possible duplications.

• Record financial information for analysis

• Develop procedures to improve efficiency

• Maintain company accounting procedures and processes

• Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Assist Controller in consolidations of foreign subsidiaries including translation of monthly profit and loss statements and balance sheets in accordance with FAS 52.

• Assist Controller in preparing financial statements, analyzing financials to ensure integrity, and interpreting complicated financial information for managers and executives

• Assist with audits

• Prepare financial information for tax return preparers and assist with tax filings

• Ensure compliance with all internal processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

• 5-7+ years experience as an accountant, junior accountant, or accounting supervisor

• Excellent computer skills; Advanced Microsoft Office Suite knowledge, Oracle a plus

• Proficiency with software system implementation a plus

• Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures

• In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

• Familiarity with financial accounting statements

• Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process

• Able to analyze financial records and interpret for other departments

• Accuracy and attention to detail

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
